District 1 Queen

Katey Martha Gutman is the 15 year old daughter of Loryhl Davis and Rick Gutman. She was born in Gainesville Florida in July of 1994. Her love of music has blossomed into her ability to play a variety of musical instruments ranging from the tuba, to the piccolo, and just about everything in between. She also loves to compose and sing her own music. She would like to teach music to children after she finishes college.

 Katey is also very active in parkour martial arts
(the ability to get from point A to point B in the most creative way possible), weight lifting and training her horses to compete in rodeo and 4H events. She enjoys hunting, hikiing, fishing,and horseback riding. One of her most enjoyable activities is volunteering at Whitewater Therapeutic riding during fund raisers and other events. She also helps out with 4H functions as needed. Katie enjoys volunteering at the local Senior Center, performing Cowboy Rap for the Back Country horseman, participating in variety shows at school and of course rodeoing.

In 2009 Katey won 3rd runner up in the Idaho High School Rodeo Association Queen Contest, winning a spot on the Wrangler All Star team. Her accomplishments in the State contest included;
winning interview while also tying for personality and congeniality.
Katey is commited to her role as District-1 High School Rodeo Queen. She is dedicated to being of service to her rodeo team, representing them to the best of her ability.
She loves setting an example and supporting the awesome sport of rodeo.

Katey says "Its not the speed, it is the stride." Have a great 2010 Rodeo Season.
