

Hello, my name is Claira Hollingsworth. My parents
are Jeff and Lee Hollingsworth and I just completed my junior year
at Preston High School. My home town is Preston, Idaho, yes the same
place that Napoleon Dynamite was from and that movie was actually
shot in my high school. My rodeo events include: Barrels, Poles,
Breakaway, Goat Tying, Cow Cutting, Team Roping and the Queen
Contest. This is my third year in high school rodeo and was a member
of the Wrangler Division for 3 years and won the state pole bending
championship in 2006 and was privileged to compete in Gallup, New
Mexico for a 12th place finish in the nation.
My academic achievements are: Academic letter 2010, Honors English
Student, 18 ISU credits, currently enrolled in 2 USU classes, High
honor roll for 3 years, 4.0 GPA at ISU, 2010 National Youth Forum
for Medicine nominee. In my spare time I also perform with the
Preston High School Acapella choir, play Basketball and Volleyball,
run Track, am a member of the FFA and Honors Society. I am a varsity
Cheerleader, the 1st Att. Franklin Co Junior Miss, have earned my
Young Women in Excellence Award, am the current Vice President Great
Basin Rodeo Team, 8th District Queen 2009 & 2010, 2009 1st Attendant
Silver State International Rodeo, and lastly the 2009 DNCFR Jr.
Queen
I plan to complete my dental assisting certification at the
Bridgerland School of Applied Technology this fall and continue my
education in dental hygiene at Dixie State College after I graduate
next May.
